About Us

Before they were Toast House, Dan had just completed his training with the Hurricane Animal Shelter as an Animal Control Officer and was scheduled for his first weekend on duty alone. He was a little nervous about having to care for all of the animals and respond to calls so Sam volunteered to clean the cat room.

It was there where she met their first two fosters, Charlotte and Oreo, who were later named by their neighborhood children. They were two tuxedo kittens one of which was friendly and one not so much. It turns out that the less friendly one was just incredibly nervous in the shelter environment so on August 30, 2024 they logged their first two fosters. As they say “it escalated very quickly from there” and less than two weeks later, brought home their first family.

Dan and Sam have a casita on their property which before cats was used for bunk beds, couches and air hockey tables but over time transformed into what it is today, Toast House. They are equipped with 10 walk in cages, a catio and wall space for less-friendly felines to maneuver around their sanctuary.

WHY Toast HOUSE?

Toast was their first orphan kitten and despite his tragically short life, he was loved immensely and left this world warm, loved and surrounded by friends. Toast House is not a home but a stepping stone to give all their feline friends a happily ever after.

Our Mission

Toast House Feline Foster Foundation is dedicated to giving cats a second chance through foster care, medical support, and adoption. By serving underserved communities and promoting spay and neuter solutions, the Foundation works to reduce suffering and build a more compassionate future for cats.

Our VISION

We envision a community where no cat is left without care, where feline
overpopulation is addressed humanely, and where every cat is valued,
protected, and given the chance to thrive in a loving home.
